Mountains form in different ways. Folded mountains form with pressure pushing plates towards each other, over time, (it says in the name) the crust breaks and folds into a folded mountain!
Dome mountains are created by convection currents, the heat creates pressure on magma which forces it flow toward the surface, the pressure pushes the crust upward and creates a dome mountain. Fault block mountains are made by regular faults breaking crust and pressure moves it upward. Many mountains are formed differently, as you see, the dome mountain is like your basic hill people would draw, folded mountain has a curve in the rock and fault block has a more downward valley cutting across.
